It has been four weeks since the release of Chrome 113, which means it’s time for yet another update. Google is now rolling out Chrome 114, with a new take on Reader Mode and some under-the-hood improvements.
Google Chrome added a “Side Panel” feature that gives you quick access to your bookmarks and the Reading List in late March 2022. If you don’t want to see the Side Panel button in the Chrome toolbar, we’ll show you how to disable it.
Most web browsers have a built-in “Reader Mode” that converts web pages into a more reader-friendly view. Strangely, Google Chrome does not have this feature—unless you know how to find it. We’ll show you where it is.
