Google Chrome’s latest addition for Android will now enable users to preview a page before even opening the link. The update will pop up a Preview page option in Google Chrome as part of the context menu which will appear when the user long-press a link. 9to5Google is said to appear between ‘Open in incognito tab’ and ‘Copy link address.’ Apparently, once the user selects the Preview page option, a preview of the web page opens that takes up a majority of the screen. At the top, the site icon, domain name, and page name show up. However, users won’t be able to expand it further. A dedicated button is given to open the page as a new tab, and once you have checked the preview you can close it by tapping it on the ‘x’ button at the top right corn

Google Chrome for Android has rolled out a new Preview Page option that allows users to view all the contents of a page before actually opening it on the device. Mashable quoted a report by 9to5Google as saying that the tech giant has been working on this preview page feature for the past two years. Google has now finally started releasing the feature to Chrome 89 for Android users. Generally, a user long-presses the links and gets a context menu, now, one will also now see a preview page option between the Open in the incognito tab and Copy link address .
Google is currently testing a way to lock Incognito tabs with Face or Touch ID. According to 9to5Google, Chrome will now allow users to Lock Incognito tabs so that they will be blurred in the tab switcher until the user confirms that he/she is the person using Touch or Face ID. According to Google, this is a way to add more security as one multitasks across apps. The report states that the feature is useful when allowing someone else to use one s iPhone or iPad to perform a new search.
The Lock Incognito tabs feature is yet to be available for all beta users.
