Alabama s HEAL Day invites students to embrace healthy behaviors

Alabama-based HEAL (Healthy Eating Active Living) is hosting its third annual HEAL Day on Tuesday, May 4, with a virtual event to encourage students and adults across the state to embrace healthy behaviors that fuel academic performance and workforce readiness.
The free event will be live on Alabama Public Television Tuesday from 10 to 10:15 a.m. Gov. Kay Ivey will introduce a new book created by HEAL, “ABCs the HEAL Way,” which playfully integrates fun, healthy behaviors and emergent reading skills that ignite a love for learning. Alabama native and former “American Idol” winner Taylor Hicks will debut a new HEAL song.
