Lubbock Home Dedication Ceremony Happening Thursday, Feb. 4th
On Thursday, February 4th, Lubbock Habitat for Humanity is hosting its second Home Dedication ceremony of 2021.
There will also be a workshop the following Saturday for anyone who may be interesting in building a home with Habitat.
Starting at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Lubbock Habitat will dedicate a home for Mackenzie Henson, Michael Sandoval and their children at 3313 East Dartmouth.
Habitat and ONE Lubbock is also hosting a mandatory workshop for those interesting in applying for the Habitat affordable housing program. This event will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 406 North Zenith. Masks will be mandatory and occupancy is limited.

While some may take the day off, Lubbock Habitat for Humanity will be working on Martin Luther King Day. The nonprofit organization is requesting Lubbock residents to assist them in building affordable housing for those in need.
Lubbock Habitat Executive Director Christy Reeves tells KAMC News that the best way to honor the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. is to give back to the East Lubbock community.
Habitat for Humanity will be hard at work on Monday, Jan. 18, working in the Talkington Addition construction site at 4040 North Guava. Habitat for Humanity, with funding from the J.T. and Margaret Talkington Foundation, began working on the addition of 22 new homes back in March of 2016.
