COVID-19 by the numbers New Mexico health officials yesterday reported 237 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the statewide total so far to 183,023, with the health department designating 134,105 of those cases as recovered. Bernalillo County had 79 cases, followed by Doña Ana County with 48 and Sandoval County with 15. Santa Fe County had eight new cases. The state also announced 11 additional deaths, including a woman in her 80s from Santa Fe County. There have now been 3,635 fatalities statewide. COVID-19 by the numbers Over the weekend, New Mexico reported 856 new cases of COVID-19: 571 on Saturday and 285 on Sunday. Santa Fe County had a total of 28 new cases 20 on Saturday and eight on Sunday. There have now been 180,571 total cases since the start of the pandemic, 120,051 of which the health department has designated as recovered. The health department also announced 27 additional deaths: 14 on Saturday and 13 on Sunday, including two from Santa Fe County: a woman in her 50s who was hospitalized and had underlying conditions, and a man in his 80s who was a resident of the BeeHive Homes Santa Fe facility. There have now been a total of 3,529 deaths statewide. As of yesterday, 292 people were hospitalized with COVID-19.
