RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TENN. - UPDATE: There are no longer charges pending against the driver of a Ford Mustang after a fatal accident on Sunday (07/24/22) in Rutherford County. Now, the case is in the hands of the district attorney's office. The accident occurred on I-840 near the Sulphur Springs Road interchange.

An Ozark County man, Christopher S. Davis of Wasola, has been sentenced to five years in the Missouri Department of Correction for his role in aiding the escape of a fellow inmate from the Ozark County jail in 2020.
Davis’ sentence is to run concurrently with another five-year prison term for violating his probation in a previous case. In that case, Davis originally pleaded guilty in April 2019 to possession of a controlled substance.
At the time of Abbott’s escape, the Ozark County Sheriff’s Office said video footage shows the inmate was aided by fellow prisoner Davis.
