Dozens of roads were closed after flash flooding on Saturday, including a section of Route 11 called the Notch, which connects Clarks Summit to Scranton.
The South Abington Twp. Police Department will assign a school resource officer this school year to the Newton Twp. middle school and elementary school, Police Chief Paul Wolfe said.
