People in New Jersey can cast off their masks and mingle come Friday, but state officials said the COVID-19 vaccine campaign will continue full force albeit with a festive overtone over the Memorial Day weekend and beyond.
On Wednesday Gov. Phil Murphy and state health commissioner Judy Persichilli outlined some of the celebratory immunization events pending for the next few days, including a half-dozen “block-party” style street festivals hosted by churches in communities where vaccination rates continue to lag.

The VNA of Central Jersey Community Health Centers (VNACJ-CHC) is offering primary healthcare and dental services to the women, men and others who make the Jersey Shore rock.
Christopher Rinn, CEO of the health centers, announced his organization’s commitment to the health and well being of artists and musicians during the Asbury Band Aid digital concert benefit for musicians of the Jersey Shore on April 20 at the Stone Pony is Asbury Park. The concert was sponsored by the Vin Gopal Civic Association and the Stone Pony, according to a press release.
