Christopher Morvant has been sentenced to spend two decades in prison for convincing someone to film a video of that person performing a sexual act on a child.
A Jennings man was sentenced to more than 23 years in prison for producing child pornography.
Christopher Morvant, 48, was sentenced Thursday in Lafayette by U.S. District Judge James D. Cain Jr. to 23 years and four months in prison followed by five years of supervised release.
Morvant convinced a co-defendant to film a video of the co-defendant performing a sexual act on a toddler-aged child in May and June 2017, according to a release from the U.S. Department of Justice’s Western District of Louisiana. The co-defendant sent the video using the internet and Morvant saved the video on his personal computer.
