A Stearns County SWAT team was used to arrest a 35-year-old man Thursday, Jan. 28, at his apartment in Holdingford, Minn., following a chase in a stolen vehicle. The man, who is in custody in the Stearns County Jail, currently faces charges of burglary, criminal damage to property and fleeing a peace officer.
Holdingford Man Faces Several Charges in Thursday Crime Spree
HOLDINGFORD A Holdingford man was arrested Thursday morning after a crime spree involving stolen vehicles, a burglary, and an assault.
The Stearns County Dispatch Center got a call just before 7:00 a.m. from someone who said they confronted a man stealing tools from his garage. The victim reported the thief said he had a knife and punched the victim in the face several times before fleeing the scene in a white pickup.
A responding deputy spotted the truck heading east on County Road 17 toward Holdingford and tried to make a traffic stop. The driver, later identified as 35-year-old

The Stearns County Sheriff s Office says a man is in custody and faces several charges in connection to a burglary that occurred Thursday monring.
The sheriff s office said at about 6:58 a.m., the Stearns County 911 Communications Center received a report of a burglary that had just occurred. The victim said he discovered a man who had broken into his garage and stolen several of his tools which he loaded into a white truck. The victim said he confronted the man, who claimed he had a knife, and then punched the victim several times in the face.
The suspect fled the scene in a white Chevrolet pickup truck.
