A PENSIONER discovered with hundreds of indecent images of children after he was caught with a covert camera at a beach has been jailed for three months.
Newry Crown Court heard that despite being convicted by a jury, Christopher Hodgen (66) still protested his innocence of the 19 charges.
The court was told that on July 27 2019, police were called to The Crescent area of Portstewart when a member of the public alerted them to suspicious activity.
While watching children getting changed to play in the water, Hodgen was spotted trying to push buttons on a pair of glasses he was wearing and when they were seized, police discovered they were a recording device with built-in camera.
