Like many accidental home remodels, Andrea and Chris Gibbin started the process of re-imagining their 1920âs 3-bedroom traditional home with some ideas for a new kitchen.

âThe house was so filled with light. Every room was sunny and cheery,â says Andrea of the house in the Larchmont Village area of Los Angeles she bought in 2019 with her husband, Chris. âWe loved the house. We did not buy it thinking weâd do such a big renovation.â

âThereâs so much great street art in the neighborhood, and we wanted to bring that into the house,â says homeowner Niko Rigney. Paintings by local muralist BlackCatTips punctuate the wall, featuring a half-line of Farrow & Ball âRailingsâ to bring down the scale of the large living room. The rug is by Annie Selke, and the designers found the chrome chairs at Decades Antiques and Vintage.
