Harrisburg man charged with killing truck driver over ‘stupid argument’
Updated Apr 01, 2021;
Harrisburg police on Thursday arrested a man in connection with the fatal shooting of a Texas truck driver who was working in the city last month.
Police charged Charles E. Anderson, 29, with criminal homicide and carrying a gun without a concealed permit. He was being held in the Dauphin County Prison without bail.
Anderson had been in jail since March 15 on an unrelated assault charge, but made bail Wednesday and was released from custody. Police tracked him down Thursday and arrested him on the newly-filed homicide charges.
Investigators say the shooting of Christopher “CJ” Hill on March 6 stemmed from a petty argument in a bar parking lot. Police accuse Anderson of following Hill’s vehicle from the bar and opening fire at Hill and his best friend in the 300 block of Division Street.
