Ned Lamont called on summer camps and festivals to begin planning for the upcoming season in his latest COVID safety guidelines issued last week. Overnight camps, which were closed last year, are likely to reopen. Camps have been told to expect more details this month. Without much to go on at the moment, some camps are proceeding as if the guidelines were similar to last year, but hoping regulations will be loosened.

This month, Lamont and Dolch are welcoming a half-million dollar donation from DoorDash to the CRA s Connecticut Restaurant Relief Fund. The national food delivery service DoorDash has given $500,000 to the Connecticut Restaurant Relief Fund for restaurants that are struggling during the coronavirus crisis. The fund was created by the Connecticut Restaurant Association to provide one-time $5,000 grants to restaurants that are facing financial difficulties due to the pandemic.
