Burnham-On-Sea Tesco store holding food collection today to support local families
Tesco is holding an extra food collection in its Burnham-On-Sea store this week to support children and families this summer.
The collection, supported by Burnham-On-Sea Lions Club, is taking place in the Ben Travers Way store from July 15th to 17th, with customers invited to donate long-life food to the Trussell Trust and FareShare to help them in their vital work to support families in need.
Tesco will once again be topping up all customer donations with a 20% cash donation to the two charities.
Jason Tarry, Tesco UK CEO, says: “The Trussell Trust and FareShare face extra demands during the summer, when children who would normally enjoy a healthy meal in school may miss out.”
TESCO is holding an extra food collection in its Somerset stores to support children and families this summer. The collection will take place in the county s large Tesco stores from July 15 to 17 and in Express stores from July 12 to August 28. Customers are being urged to donate long-life food to the Trussell Trust and FareShare to help them in their vital work to support families in need. Tesco will be topping up all customer donations with a 20 per cent cash donation to the two charities.
