The Christmas Nutcracker stars Brian Cox as Drosselmeyer and introduces Janelle Jorde as Clara in a charming union of fantasy and reality that captures the true essence of Christmas. It’s Christmas in Snowy Valley but the Second World War means 12-yearold Clara is left longing for her absent father. When she receives a postcard from him at the town’s Post Office she is overjoyed and runs home to show her mother and two little brothers. On the way she meets Drosselmeyer (Brian Cox) and with his gifts of magic and a wooden Nutcracker, Clara wins a special wish to see her father again.
