Galva Christmas Eve Jingle

Galva residents will be participating in it’s first Galva Christmas Eve Jingle Thursday December, 24th, at 6 p.m. The event encourages residents to come outside at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve and ring bells (sleigh bells or any other bell will do) for two minutes to spread the Christmas Spirit and to help Santa fly his sleigh. Christmas Eve Jingle was recently founded by a Yorkshire Facebook group and Mary Beggs-Reid of Harrogate, Yorkshire, UK. The idea has turned into a global movement with over 350 thousand participants world-wide so far. “Maybe this will become a yearly tradition and you can say you were first when the history books talk of 2020 and that what happened on Christmas Eve united the whole world in spreading joy, hope and the Christmas spirit,” Beggs-Reid said.

Christmas Eve Jingle: What time is the doorstep bell ring?

Don t show me this message again✕ Thousands of people are set to take part in a national bell-ringing event to combat loneliness on Christmas Eve. Organised by Mary Beggs-Reid from Harrogate, the event, titled the Christmas Eve Jingle, will take place at 6pm on 24 December as part of a wider campaign that was launched back in October to support those who might be suffering from loneliness during the pandemic. The idea is that a nationwide ringing of bells will help to spread festive cheer. In addition to encouraging people to ring bells (or bang saucepans) on their doorsteps, Mrs Beggs-Reid is encouraging people to “give someone a bell” if they are spending Christmas alone.
