VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. Monday, members of the Salvation Army cut the ribbon at a warehouse where thousands of gifts were stored and ready to be hand-delivered to families for this Christmas. Operation: Rescue Christmas was the theme this year for the organization s Christmas Depot, since the pandemic made it difficult for families in the region to purchase gifts for the holiday.

Norfolk, Va. - The Salvation Army is looking for volunteers for their annual Christmas Depot distribution. Traffic control volunteers are needed to assist with directing the drive-thru services during The Salvation Army Hampton Roads Annual Christmas Depot Distribution.
15 volunteers are needed per shift from Monday, December 14 to Tuesday, December 22. The position requires volunteers to work outside so, all volunteers should dress appropriately for the weather, rain or shine.
