The ten-turbine project on Scotland s Kintyre peninsula adds to BayWa s growing portfolio of UK assets, which already includes installed capacity of 685MW, and management of more than 2400MW of wind and solar capacity.
Black & Veatch carried out due dilligence on the project, carrying out buildability, permitting, environmental impact assessments, Capex and Opex assumptions, energy yield and grid connection.

A multidisciplinary team from Bristol-based law firm Burges Salmon has advised renewable energy developer BayWa r.e. UK on its latest acquisition.
The company has acquired High Constellation Wind Farm from Blue Energy.
The proposed wind farm is located on the Kintyre peninsula in Scotland and, once installed, its ten turbines will have a capacity of 50MW.
Blue Energy, a UK developer of renewable energy infrastructure, will work with BayWa r.e. during the development of the project with a view to collaborating on other large-scale, Scottish wind farms in the future.
Burges Salmon corporate finance partner Danny Lee, supported by solicitor Niall Mackle, led the cross-sector team advising BayWa r.e. on the acquisition, with support from the firm s Real Estate, Planning, and Energy, Power and Utilities teams.
