A Rhyl councillor has been elected as Chair of Denbighshire County Council. Cllr Alan James who represents the Rhyl West ward, will take the reins for the coming municipal year. His Consort during his term of office will be his wife Mrs Win Mullen-James. He was elected during the ceremony held at the Annual County Council meeting which was held virtually and at County Hall, Ruthin. His chosen charities for the coming year are Macmillan Cancer Support and the Rhyl RNLI. The new Chair will start his charity support, Covid restrictions permitting, with a Lands End to John O’Groats cycle challenge for Macmillan Cancer Support next month.
