FIREFIGHTERS and ambulance service personnel lined the route past Trowbridge fire station today for the funeral of former watch manager Guy Tadman - whom they affectionately knew as Tadders . Mr Tadman died on April 29 from acute myeloid leukaemia which was first diagnosed in November 2019. He received a stem cell transplant in April last year from his youngest son Josh but the cancer returned. Mr Tadman had served the Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service for 22 years before being forced to retire in January. Flags at fire stations and workplaces across Dorset and Wiltshire were flown at half-mast in his honour. An aerial platform appliance carried his coffin which was draped in the Union Flag.
