Me excuse me. Charles hadlock i believe is on the phone for us from dallas right now. You just arrived on scene, can you give us a sense of what youre seeing and what youre able to witness . Hi, peter, it looks like theyre trying to open up the airport again. Traffic is pulling up to the terminal, at least from my Vantage Point it looks that way. Stuck back in traffic. Normally you would see Southwest Airlines planes taking off about every three minutes or so. I havent seen any planes taking off or landing here other than general aviation aircraft. There are a lot of people stuck in traffic, some people are carrying their bags to and from the airport a distance of perhaps a half mile carrying their bags to get to and from the airport. This a shooting apparently happened at the baggage claim area. Its unclear from the Instagram Video whether it happened outside the doorway or inside the doorway. Clearly, you can hear about ten shots being fired from a Police Officer. There are no instru

Valley News - Lebanon officials approve diversity panel despite concerns over 'divisive concepts' law

Lebanon officials approve diversity panel despite concerns over ‘divisive concepts’ law Modified: 7/21/2021 9:35:26 PM LEBANON City officials voted Wednesday night to form a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Commission despite concerns that the group’s efforts could conflict with a new state law that seeks to limit some discussions about race and sex. The City Council voted unanimously to create the nine-member group, which could start meeting in the fall. Its mission is to recommend ways to “address diversity and equity issues, promote inclusion/diversity programs and provide guidance to create a more accessible, safe, welcoming and inclusive government and community.” That includes working alongside Lebanon’s business and nonprofit communities. To track progress, the commission will issue quarterly reports to the City Council.

Valley News - Potential Lebanon diversity panel could be at odds with NH's 'divisive concepts' law

Potential Lebanon diversity panel could be at odds with NH’s ‘divisive concepts’ law Modified: 7/20/2021 9:24:53 PM LEBANON City councilors are expected to hold a public hearing and vote Wednesday evening to create a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Commission, though a legal opinion does raise some caveats for city officials to consider. The commission is intended to provide education and opportunities for conversations and to “bring the community together and bridge the divide to the extent it exists regarding diversity, equity and inclusion,” according to a memo to councilors from the city manager, who recommends passage of the measure, which requires amending city code.

Valley News - Developer appealing Lebanon's decision to torpedo Prospect Hills housing project

Developer appealing Lebanon’s decision to torpedo Prospect Hills housing project Modified: 5/15/2021 10:58:26 PM LEBANON A Manchester development firm is using a new avenue in its appeal of the city’s decision to effectively kill a 117-unit housing project near Lebanon Middle School, saying the proposal was met with “hostility and dislike” by officials. Brady Sullivan argues the Lebanon Planning Board acted unfairly when it voted unanimously in March to deny the Prospect Hills subdivision an extension needed to start work on its second phase. At the time, officials said they’d allowed the developer enough leeway. The second phase a mix of single-family homes and townhouse-style units on a 40-acre wooded parcel off Prospect Street was first proposed 15 years ago, and the Planning Board issued renewals in 2016 and 2018.
