It seems in recent years, we ve all been experiencing an increase in scams; whether it s by phone, by email & mail being sent to your house. Recently a lot of home owners have complained about getting a piece of paper telling them to call a specific number for more information about their water. People were complaining whether this notice from El Paso Water was real or not. Well the good news is. it s not real.

State Senate Confirms 25 College And University Regents To Boards Across New Mexico

SANTA FE Twenty-five highly-qualified New Mexicans have been nominated by Gov. Lujan Grisham and confirmed by the State Senate to serve on Boards of Regents at public colleges, universities, and special schools across the state.
“This year’s cadre of regents includes individuals with a high level of experience and enthusiasm for higher education, which will be key for guiding our state institutions forward in the coming years,” Higher Education Department Secretary Stephanie Rodriguez said. “We look forward to collaborating with them and all higher education leadership to ensure that New Mexico’s students and schools succeed.”

This Island spring of iffy weather continues to reduce the warmth other towns on the mainland are enjoying. But it will continue to get warmer and we will be thankful for the cool ocean breezes during the summer while other places suffer in the extreme high temperature. Yes, you read that right- human remains were found in one of El Paso s most historic neighborhoods, Sunset Heights. The remains were found near the intersection of Upson and Fewel on Tuesday while El Paso Water Utilities crews were replacing aging lines.
Obviously, after the remains were found, the El Paso Water Utilities crew had to stop their work and report it. As Christina Montoya told
standard protocol to notify law enforcement upon discovery of possible remains. After an initial investigation, the Sheriff’s Department notified the Texas Historical Commission, which placed a pause on work.
After the remains were confirmed to be human, The Historical Commission instructed El Paso Water Utilities to hire an archaeologist to examine the remains, and the surrounding area. Montoya confirms that they have hired Arcadis.
