ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) Steady and heavy rain on Saturday turned local streets and yards into rivers and ponds.
The Rochester Airport broke its daily precipitation total for Saturday with just over 3 inches of rain, and we are now sitting as the 5th wettest July on record.
In Batavia, Genesee County, they saw rain totals near 4 inches, and it left one resident with water coming through her electrical sockets. Yesterday morning, I woke up. And at 6 am ,I went downstairs to my basement, and there was over a foot of water. It was coming in through the walls, and the electrical outlets which I never, ever seen before. It was coming in through the cement, in the floor. So, I had water literally gushing in from everywhere, said Amy Devos.
