This is for all women in any background. Any color. But no men. Just no men. For many reasons. Like for religious reasons but also like, a safe space for women to come and be themselves and not worry. This salon caters to muslim women whose religion forbids them from letting their hair down in front of unrelated men. The owner tells me she knew of the real need for a salon like this from her own experiences. Ive been to a salon where my hair was wet and a man walked in and had to put my scarf on. And then they had to take me to a back room where she continued to do my hair. It was isolated there was a regular chair and no mirror. Salon has been open for about a week and reviews are in.
