Reporter the girl shot was a block and a half away from home. Shes spending the night here at this hospital behind me. Fortunately, shell pull through, but for a 23yearold victim, a man shot in the neck, it doesnt look good. This cracked glass, a chilling reminder of where a 12yearold girl was shot leaving a corner store around 6 30. Philadelphia police say she was hit in the right thigh. She was a wonderful little girl. Reporter she says like many children in the neighborhood, the young girl visited the store often, but now thats becoming too dangerous. Its not good for the kids around the neighborhood.
