Mayor Marty Walsh announced Friday that Boston s outdoor dining program will begin on Monday, March 22 10 days earlier than had originally been planned due to the weather forecast. But the city s North End has to wait.

CANFIELD The South Range Schools administration has not yet determined when students will return to in-person instruction.
Superintendent Bethany Carlson reported to the school board this week she will continue to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic’s effect on the district over the holidays before making a decision. She said there had been a dip in cases after Thanksgiving, but there has since been a small increase.
Carlson asked parents to continue to report positive cases and contacts to the district.
In other business, the board granted a supplemental contract to Morgan Czopur for freshman girls basketball for the 2020-2021 school year and approved as volunteer coaches Bill Gerhig, John Tomaino and Donald Newell for wrestling and Sandra Kohler for girls basketball.
