Reporter officials leading the search for that missing airliner and the 239 people onboard, say their ship, the ocean shield, using an underwater device, called a pinger locater, has detected two new underwater signals they say are consistent with a locater beacon from an airplanes voice and data recorder, the socalled black boxes. The ship picked up the signals tuesday afternoon and evening australia time. The first lasted a little over five minutes. The second, about seven minutes.
