Ecommerce and delivery sites have been among those businesses that were well positioned during the pandemic. And Goldbelly’s premise is ideal for food lovers spending more time at home.  The service offers a chance for anyone across the country to get bagels from New York, for example, or barbecue from Texas and muffuletta sandwiches from New Orleans. Customers can also try food from well-known chefs like David Chang, Stephanie Izard, and Marcus Samuelsson as well as famous restaurants.   More than 700 are now represented on the site.  Ben Knight, who owns Benny s Big Time Pizzeria in Wilmington with wife Vivian Howard, said he used Goldbelly to order a New York pizza.

Esclangon works at Rise Coffee Co. and Nye’s Cream Sandwiches on State St. While the shop is less than a week old, it’s bringing a lot of attention among locals.

Rise Coffee Co. and Nye s Cream Sandwiches is giving employees a chance for a better life. It s all about inclusion for these guys, all about giving them an opportunity which they haven t had forever, said Beaver Shriver. Partnering with The Haven and Easter Seals, Beaver Shriver has about 30 employees working at the shop. He co-owns the business with Christian Nye of Nye s Cream Sandwiches.
