Purdue University Professor Maurice Eisenstein says the school s investigation - which cleared him - still violated his free speech rights.
“When you investigate free speech, you chill free speech.”
– Maurice Eisenstein, Purdue political science professor
A tenured PolySci professor at Purdue, Maurice Eisenstein, was cleared by the university of making incendiary and biased comments against Muslims. There was a finding, however, that he retaliated against other faculty members. Now the Professor is going to court claiming the university violated his free speech rights.
The problem started when Professor Eisenstein posted a photo of the massacre of Nigerian Christians said to be carried out by African Muslims on his Facebook page. His comment with the picture was “Where are the ‘moderate’ Muslims’ reaction to this? Oh, I forgot they are still looking at the earth as flat …,”
