The Oak Grove man accused of being involved in an Oak Grove shooting of a woman on Meridians Way in 2018 appeared in Christian Circuit Court Judge John Atkinsâ courtroom Wednesday morning to be sentenced on his drug-related charges while his assault charge is still scheduled to be tried by jury.
Adrian L. Murray, 22, is accused of shooting Keosha Willis on Meridians Way in Oak Grove in 2018 and was charged with first-degree assault, first-degree trafficking in cocaine, trafficking in marijuana, first-degree fleeing or evading police, two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment and second-degree fleeing or evading police.
Murray recently entered a guilty plea deal to eight years in prison on all counts excluding the assault charge.
Sentencing for a Hopkinsville man facing six wanton endangerment charges has been delayed as he finds a new attorney.
Taquavion Coleman and attorney Jason Holland appeared virtually Wednesday before Christian Circuit Judge Andrew Self. During the appearance, Self said a motion had been filed for Holland to withdrawal himself as council for the case.
Coleman added he would need a few weeks to find a new attorney. Judge Self set the next date for the case for Wednesday, June 2, to line up with another case Coleman is involved in.
Coleman was charged with six counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, possession of a handgun by a minor, and tampering with physical evidence after a wreck on Dawson Springs Road the night of January 9.
