The department of justice revealed its 94 findings and 272 recommendations at a press conference thats still going on. The u. S. Attorney said that after completing the review, its clear that the San Francisco Police Department has tremendous work ahead of it to meet and exceed the National Police standards. The assessment was broken down into five areas of the sfpd including use of force and bias in policing methods. Ronald davis of the Justice Department explained that there are significant deficiencies across the board. One recommendation is that officers are given stun against as all alternate to lethal force. And they need to improve how they track use of force. They didnt find proof of racial bias by officers. It concluded that black drivers are stopped more frequently than any other race.
