Exploring the wild foods of B C with Tracey Kim Bonneau

A: In 2010, I got in my little car and drove to Vancouver as many Indigenous people did during the Olympics to be part of the excitement. There was a venue at Vancouver Community College for Indigenous artists to showcase their work, to network and meet people coming in for the Olympics. At a reception for then-Assembly of First Nations Chief Sean Atleo, there was this wonderful spread of Indigenous appetizers. It was food I grew up with and could relate to, and I started to think about what it would be like to share stories about that food and how important it was to me and my culture.
