Former Blues midfielder Tommy Oar says he could return to English football one day but has no regrets about his decision to leave Town after only five months in January.
Town manager Joe Royle has named an unchanged side for Tuesday s home game with relegation-doomed Rotherham United. Royle is also sticking with the same five substitutes from Saturday s 3-2 victory over Derby County.
In the fifth part of our new regular series, The Ex-Files, in which Blair Ferguson chats with Town stars of the past about their time at Portman Road and what they’re up to now, we catch up with David Johnson, the man whose goals fired the Blues into successive play-offs under George Burley’s management.
It is emerging that David Johnson s former club Bury will get 20% of Town s profit on the sale of the player. It seems that the deal between Town and Bury in 1997 included a clause which could see the Shakers get around £380,000.
George Burley has admitted that Andy Marshall is one of the keepers he is looking at and that he and keeper coach Malcolm Webster know him well. The Town boss also admitted that he had watched other keepers, but Marshall looks the front-runner.
