Inflation. Rising interest rates. International turmoil. A contentious, dispiriting election season. Turmoil in MetroHealth's CEO transition. Looked at a certain way, 2022 was pretty rough. But we're deep into the holidays, and we're feeling in a generous mood. Here are some encouraging things that give us hope for a brighter 2023 and beyond.
Dr. Akram Boutros will leave MetroHealth at the end of 2022 in much better condition than when he arrived as president and CEO. One reason for that: the health system's embrace of its role in bolstering the neighborhood it calls home. Plus, 2021 for the most part has been another lousy year, but a couple developments in our corner of the world give us hope that things are looking up.
