dentist who first examined the bite and told police it matched krone s teeth. the local dentist was new. this was his first case he worked on. so that immediately led me to believe maybe he was prone to error are. one of the things he told me was his mentor who taught him how to interpret and look at bite marks was are from my area, dr. spurber. plord meets with the man in san diego. plord is surprised to learn spurber previously. examined the krone case. i said ray krone is on death row. the doctor had a look on his face that was, to this day, i will never forget, of shock. he said, i looked at that case. it wasn t the guy. reporter: he tells plord the evidence was brought to him by the county attorney s office prior to krones s trial and he informed the prosecutor that
