RAW Radio prepares to launch in Runcorn and Widnes A new online radio station for Runcorn and Widnes called RAW Radio is launching soon in North Cheshire. Former MFM, Dee Radio and Wire FM presenter Chris Oakley is behind the station and will host the weekday breakfast show from Monday 15th February. Presenters on the schedule will include local presenters Andy Richards, Phil Woodbridge, Jason Morley, Steve Parks, Mark Blackman, Neil Davis, Tony Pinnell, David Lawrenson and Giggle Shack’s Colin Havey. There will also be a new music show on Saturday nights called Beyond the Bridge with Iain Tinsley and David Bailey.

Manufacturer with Ellesmere Port site celebrates loyal workers years of service

A COMPANY which has a factory in Ellesmere Port is honouring employees for their many years of dedicated service. A total of nine people at the Ellesmere Port site of Progroup are being recognised for their many collective years of key contributions to the growth and development of the containerboard and corrugated sheetboard manufacturer, which operates right across Europe. At Ellesmere Port, where Progroup operates a corrugated sheetfeeder plant, the nine honoured were Stephen Archer, Lee Rivers, Jordan Tunstall, Tom Mcgill, Matthew Wiltcher, Chris Oakley, Paul Holland and Dariuz Mazur. In total, Progroup is honouring 136 employees across different sites across Europe, collectively boasting 1,980 years of professional experience.
