Newfound was the first to score with 6:24 on the clock and was up 4-0 less than a minute later. The Spartans had 10 turnovers with 1:46 to go in the first quarter, causing some early trouble. With five minutes to go, Newfound drained two foul shots and was up by six points. Spartan Jaylen Bennett put her team on the board after scoring one from the foul line.
