Adventure Day at Darien s Selleck s Woods brings out first-timers, repeat visitors

DARIEN It was a day of discovery and re-discovery for hundreds of local families that attended Selleck’s Woods Adventure Day on Sunday.
Darien native Kate Dockstader recalls the open space land at the end of Parklands Drive which includes Selleck’s Woods & Dunlap Woods Nature Preserve in considerable decay and disrepair when she was growing up.
“Selleck’s Woods looks great,” she said, adding she was excited to bring her own children to the space. “Thanks to all the volunteers and the people who are here to make it happen.”
Darien s preserves get a sprucing ahead of Earth Day
