Hundreds of firefighters across Northern California gathered in Sacramento to honor the 343 firefighters who rushed into danger to save people on September 11, 2001.

Hansen | OBSERVER Staff Writer - The City of Sacramento has established a new "Incident Management Team" (IMT) to ensure that all available resources are being utilized and leveraged in the best manner possible for response to the homelessness crisis, with the Fire Department leading the coordination of activities of DCR, the Police Department, Code Enforcement, County behavioral health workers, the park rangers and outside service partners like Hope Cooperative.
