You might see something streaking across the sky this weekend, but it won’t be a meteor from the Eta Aquarid meteor shower.
NASA is scheduled to launch a rocket from the agency’s Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia for a special space experiment, and it could be visible from many eastern states, including New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
The launch is scheduled for 8:02 p.m. on Saturday, May 8. NASA says there’s a 40-minute launch window, so the rocket could go up a little later than the official launch time. (The launch was originally targeted for Friday night, but it was pushed back to Saturday.)
