Ng often cursed at victim and challenged him to fights
The worker, 34-year-old Jahidul, worked for Ng at his plumbing company, HYL Enterprises, and lived in the same house in a room where tools were kept.
According to court docyments, Jahidul said Ng, now 59, would often enter his room at night, turn on the lights and scold him with vulgarities while pointing a finger at his nose.
Ng would also challenge him to fights, but he would not dare to answer as he was frightened of Ng.
Unable to take the abuse, Jahidul requested several times for Ng to send him back to Bangladesh, but Ng had purportedly refused to do so.

SINGAPORE: Former actor Ng Aik Leong, better known as Huang Yiliang, was convicted on Friday (Jan 22) of assaulting his worker with a metal scraper, after defending himself with explanations that the prosecution called ridiculous .
Ng, 59, was convicted of voluntarily causing hurt by a dangerous weapon to Bangladeshi worker Mr Jahidul at the Singapore Islamic Hub on Dec 11, 2018.

Mr Jahidul came to Singapore in October 2018 to work for Ng at his company, HYL Enterprises. He stayed in Huang s house, living in a room where tools were kept.

SINGAPORE: A man was given nine months jail on Wednesday (Jan 20) for molesting a pregnant woman after following her to a lift lobby, cornering her inside the lift and repeatedly blocking her attempts to flee.
Kota Durga Prasad, a 26-year-old painter from India, had been cycling towards a block in Jurong West on the night of Sep 5 last year when he saw the victim crossing a traffic junction.

The 28-year-old woman was visiting her husband, who was working in Singapore, and was three months pregnant at that time.
