Golden Child member Jaehyun is the latest name added to the list of K-Pop idols who contracted the COVID-19 recently. The WANNABE singer s agency, Woollim Entertainment, confirmed his diagnosis on Thursday, Dec. 17.
Jaehyun Tests Positive But is Asymptomatic
The label revealed, in its statement, that Jaehyun received the positive result just a few hours after he underwent testing. Woollim Entertainment assured the public that the Golden Child member had no other unimportant activities lately aside from his official filming schedules.
The agency noted that it had completed all the necessary measures following Jaehyun s diagnosis. Woolim Entertainment even shared that all of its staff and artists have undergone testing. The company even disinfected its building, including the Golden Child s official residence.
It was previously reported that the SBS music program Inkigayo also announced a three-week break as well. South Korean music program Music Bank airs every Friday at 17:00 KST on the KBS2 network. The show also organizes the global live concert known as the Music Bank World Tour. Before Music Bank aired, Top 10 Songs was the original music program in the network, debuted in 1981, airing live at 6:30 (KST) on Fridays. The said show continued airing until 1998, then Bravo New Generation took place Top 10 Songs. However, due to its low ratings, it was immediately replaced by Music Bank on June 18, 1998.
The show was airing at the same time slot until 2005 when it was moved to Sunday afternoons at 12:45 (KST) and became a recorded broadcast, but it received low ratings. So, in September 2007, the show returned to its original time slot of Fridays evenings at 6:30 (KST) and returned to their live format.
