Detectives on Thursday arrested a 30-year-old man from Mbiuni in Machakos County for allegedly ‘sodomising’ three boys.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, the man cajoled three minors with Sh20, before leading them to his house where he engaged in the heinous act.
“Disturbingly, two of the three boys are brothers aged eight and ten while the third one is their 8-year-old neighbor,” DCI said in a tweet.
The three boys narrated their ordeal to the detectives who then rushed them to Mbiuni Level Two hospital, where they are receiving treatment.

K24Digital, Chief Inspector John Marete, who is the Officer Commanding Police Post (OCPP) at Mitheru in Maara Sub-County, was arrested a few minutes past 12am Tuesday.
A resident had informed Maara Sub-County Police Commander (SCPC) Mohamed Jarso that Marete had locked six male children in his house, and that the informant suspected the chief inspector was âup to no goodâ.
âJarso immediately called the Sub-County Criminal Investigation Officer (SCIO), the Deputy Sub-County Police Commander, the duty officer at Chogoria Police Station and his team, who went to Mareteâs house in Chogoria Township,â says a police report filed at the Chogoria Police Station.
Police officer arrested for sodomizing young boys, 2 adults
Tharaka Nithi County is in shock after a senior police officer was arrested for allegedly sodomizing four boys aged between 14 to 15 years and two adults of 18 and 19 years.
The suspect, John Marete, who is a Chief Inspector of Police in-charge of Ntumu police station within Chogoria Township, is said to have been sexually assaulting the six for an unspecified period in his house.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the victims, who have since been rescued, were found sleeping on the floor of the Inspector’s house.
“This morning some minutes past midnight, our officers rescued four boys aged between 14-15 years and two young adults of 18 & 19 years, from the yoke of sodomy. In a horror-like scene visited by Maara sub-County Criminal Investigations head and his Kenya Police counterparts, the boys were found sleeping on the floor in the perpetrator’s house within Chogoria Township,” said

Detectives on Tuesday rescued six boys aged between 14-19 years in Chogoria, Tharaka Nithi County, following a tip-off from a member of the public.
Police reports say four minors aged 14-15 years and two young adults aged18-19 years had been held by a Chief Inspector of Police, who had been sodomizing them.
“In a horror-like scene visited by Maara sub-County Criminal Investigations Head and his Kenya Police counterparts, the boys were found sleeping on the floor in the perpetrator’s house within Chogoria Township,” the report said.
Upon investigations, the minors who were rescued in the dead of night, revealed that the officer had been sodomizing them for an unknown period.
