One-stop service office for returning migrant women opens in Hai Phong 09:46 | 14/04/2021

Hai Phong â The Vietnam Women s Union (VWU) together with the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) put into operation a one-stop service office for returning migrant women and their families (OSSO) in the northern port city of Hai Phong on April 13.
The office establishment is part of a project is funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) to enhance Vietnamâs capacity in supporting returning migrant women and their families sustainable re-integration into local society.

For many years, Nguyen Thi Sen, 61, in Phu Cat district in the central province of Binh Dinh, had experienced water coming into her house during flooding season. âI used to be scared when the flood season came,â Sen said. âI often had to put my belongings to higher ground and take my children and the cow to relatives or friends until the flooding passed.â
KOICA signs to support Hue culture and tourism smart city development
On the afternoon of January 21, Chairman of the Provincial People s Committee, Mr. Phan Ngoc Tho had a meeting, working session and minute signing ceremony of the project on “Hue culture and tourism smart city development” between the Provincial People s Committee and KOICA Office in Vietnam.
The project on “Hue culture and tourism smart city development” has a total investment of USD 14.8 million, of which the funding source from KOICA is USD 13 million, the reciprocal budget of the province is USD 1.8 million. The project will be implemented in five years from 2021 to 2025. KOICA supports the project development to improve the public management capacity in the tourism sector, related to the transformation of the tourism industry towards economic development, ensuring the sustainability of environment and the society.
