The Kentucky Bar Association agrees. Itâs Board of Governors recently presented Easton with its Distinguished Judge Award.
Easton has invested nearly 21 of his 57 years on the bench of Hardin Circuit Court. His reputation for fairness and legal knowledge is seldom rivaled â and neither is his modesty.
âI was surprised and humbled by receiving this award, because I have known and respected many of the prior recipients,â Easton said. âI consider it an encouragement of the work I have been blessed to be able to do.â
Outside the courtroom, Easton is an active member of Valley View Baptist Church in Vine Grove and participates in the Charles W. Logsdon Downtown Walking Tour where he regularly portrays President James Buchanan, who spent time in Elizabethtown practicing law.
