Five people from Oakland and Wayne counties have been charged for being part of a scheme to take advantage of people who were involved in car crashes in Michigan, officials said.
Six people are accused of using Michigan car crash victims as part of an insurance fraud scheme. The victims were found with a hotline and then referred to care that was billed to insurance and the Michigan Assigned Claims Plan.
