Each year, some of our powerful radio stations, WOKQ,WPKQ, WHOM and WSHK/WSAK (The Shark,) partner with several non-profits to receive an extensive advertising campaign on the air and on our digital products. The Year of Service has been running on these stations for decades and the organizations are chosen by applications that we receive from non-profits from all over our listening areas.
Before we get to this year’s winners, I would like to say a heart-felt thank you to all those who applied through our station websites. The members of our Year of Service committee have said that this was a difficult task since there were so many worthy, deserving non-profits.
