DIMAPUR Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), Eastern Sumi Students’ Union (ESSU) and Kulolau Satami Kuqhakulu (KSK) have condoled the demise of Tokheli, wife of former MLA and advisor Pukhayi Sümi, who passed away on May 18 in Kohima. NDPP: The NDPP, while condoling the demise of Tokheli said, “To lose a wife and mother is an irreplaceable loss in the family and it is our continued prayer that God almighty will give comfort, solace and strength to the members of the family during this sad and difficult time.” NDPP president, Chingwang Konyak, further prayed for peace of the departed soul. ESSU: ESSU stated that Tokheli was a pioneer of ESSU, who served as president during 1976-77. “She was women of faith and kindness who helped people at various levels,” ESSU stated and added that her demise was a huge loss the people of Aghunato and Sumis in general.
