近日中国政府网一条信息引发外界关注。中国国家发改委在回复一位网民提问时表示，与国际上其他国家相比，中国居民电价偏低，工商业电价偏高，下一步要完善居民阶梯电价制度，使电力价格更好地反映供电成本。
6月24日，中国政府网发布，发展改革委答网民关于 建议完善居民阶梯电价制度，鼓励城乡居民多用清洁的电力资源 的留言。
来自陕西的网民 大河618 手机尾号3898）说：现在电力装机已严重过剩，供大于求，电力设备出力不足，特别是火电厂，设备利用小时数连续几年下降，全国火电设备利用小时数已低于 3000 小时 / 年，近一半机组常年闲置。鉴于电力已经饱和，不再短缺，为改善人民生活，保护环境，建议完善原来的居民阶梯电价政策，鼓励城乡居民多用清洁的电力资源，少用煤取暖或做饭。
